Nasturtium, 'Double Gleam Orange' (Tropaeolum majus)
Double Gleam Orange Nasturtium is a self-seeding, easy to grow trailing annual that grows vivid semi-double orange flowers with a pleasant aroma. Plants can form lovely, billowing 2 ft. mounds of round, green leaves, or can grow trailing shoots up to 5" long. The long-spurred flower blossoms attract hummingbirds, and the young nasturtium leaves and flowers are rich in vitamin c and are edible, adding a delicious peppery flavor to salads. And although they are edible rabbits don't care for them. They thrive in full sun and grow very well in poor, dry soils from early spring to late fall, making them one of the best mild-weather annual flowers for your garden.
